The Attitude of Czechoslovakia to the Effort of Hungary to Join the League of Nations (1920-1922) - 90 Years from Hungary's Joining the League of Nations
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The study describes the effort of Hungary to join the League of Nations (LoN) from the first formulation of Budapest's intention to join LoN in February 1920 until its admission to LoN in September 1922. In this context, it analyzes particularly the attitude of Czechoslovakia to the effort of Hungary to be admitted to LoN, both in 1921, after the submission of actual official application of Budapest to admit Hungary to LoN, and in 1921 when the application of Hungary was discussed by LoN after having been postponed after request of Budapest from September 1921. The study points out essential reproaches of Czechoslovakia against Hungary with regard to its commitments resulting from the Peace Treaties, due to which Czechoslovakia totally refused the LoNmembership of Hungary in 1921 and it tried to aggravate its admission proceedings to LoN in 1922 in order to keep the international political scene cautious towards Horthyan Hungary.
