Probing Aspectual Context with Keyword Analysis

This is paper explores the contextual pa erns that are most relevant to Czech verbal aspect by means of a corpus linguistic method of keyword analysis. In addition to the ex- pected relevance of temporal-aspectual constraints, the study shows two other factors that are less frequently addressed quantitatively: lexical-phraseological a raction and genre/ text type. Janda's idealized cognitive model of "matter" (2004) will be used to account for the obtained results.
