Die Handschrift III D 10 aus der Sammlung der Nationalbibliothek in Prag hat eine umstrittene Provenienz und unsichere Datierung. Eine neue Inhalts- und kodikologische Analyse haben eine wesentlich frühere Datierung ermöglicht, während die Untersuchung des liturgischen Inhalts eine Verortung in der Passauer Diözese sicherstellt. Die Studie geht der Frage nach, was für ein Zeugnis diese inhaltlich einzigartige Musiksammlung von der Passauer Musikgeschichte im 15. Jahrhundert ablegt und wie der Transfer vom musikalischen Repertoire Mitteleuropas funktionierte.

The manuscript III D 10 from the National Library in Prague had a controversial provenance and its dating was uncertain. A new codicological analysis made it possible to date it much earlier, while the investigation of the liturgical content proves that it reflects the liturgy of the Passau diocese. The study concentrates on the question of what testimony brings this music collection - unique in terms of content - about the music history of Passau in the 15th century and the transfer of repertoire across Central Europe.
