Der Vortrag setzt sich mit der Forschungsfrage auseinander, welche Akteure die Stellung des Deutschen im heutigen Europa beeinflussen (können), wie diese Akteure handeln und woran eventuelle Bemühungen um eine Stärkung der Position des Deutschen scheitern. Diese komplexe Frage wird in überschaubare Teilfragen gegliedert, die auch im theoretischen Sinne über ein genügend tragfähiges Fundament verfügen sollten, um weiterhin methodologisch fruchtbar zu bleiben.

The presentation deals with the research question of which actors (can) influence the position of German in today's Europe, how these actors act and why possible efforts to strengthen the position of German fail. This complex question is divided into manageable sub-questions, which should also have a sufficiently solid theoretical foundation to remain methodologically fruitful.
