The TOFIN experimental paradigm consists in a simple task frequently called as multiple choice, oddball or intruder task. The game generates series of tones (by default three). The task of the player is to identify a tone that does not fit in the sequence. Each of the tones has different harmonical relationship to a base note. The purpose of tofin_tooth software is to provide a tool to design and run experiments targeting the Theory of Tonal Hierarchies by Carol Krumhansl.User can choose to present the tone series either after a single tone (the base tone) is presented, over the base tone that plays during whole trial, over a chord, or after a chord briefly resonates.

Technické parametry
The software was programmed in Pure data and runs as a series of patches in Pure data environment. The data output of the software is to be analyzed using Jupyter notebook distributed alongside the Pure data patches. Tofin_tooth does not rely on any external libraries in Pure data, however, several libraries are needed to run the statistical notebooks. The core of the program consists in tone generators that were designed according to the Tonal Hierarchies Theory, generating tones from categories following the theory.
