Na temelju doktorskog istraživanja autorice bit će uvedeni osnovni tipovi gradnje muzejske priče o tom vremenu, njihovi političko-kulturni konteksti i potencijalni problematični aspekti.

Nostalgia, moralities and other stories about the past: how contemporary history is presented in museums
Popis výsledku anglicky
Understanding history in the form of more or less complex stories is one of the key aspects of general reflection on the past. Therefore, narrativity is an essential principle of any kind of popularization of historical science, and it also plays a major role in the exhibition activities of historical museums. In this respect, the museum presentation of contemporary history is a problem of its kind. This is a period with a partially open canon of interpretations, where both curators and visitors are witnesses of a given time, equipped with their own memories and emotions. The disputed potential is even more evident in the former socialist countries of Central and Eastern Europe, whose recent history and related heritage are often viewed as a conflicting legacy. On the other hand, imagining the past is also influenced by the communication context in which the bearers of collective memory become phenomena from everyday life and popular culture. The lecture will focus on forms of museum presentation of contemporary history in selected countries of Central Europe and the former Yugoslavia. Based on the author's doctoral research, the basic types of construction of the museum narration about that time, their political and cultural contexts and potential problematic aspects will be introduced.
