Der Artikel befasst sich mit dem Phänomen der jugoslawischen Arbeiter in der Tschechoslowakei in den 1960er bis 1980er Jahren. Die Tschechoslowakei, die unter einem ähnlichen Arbeitskräftemangel wie die westeuropäischen Länder litt, verhandelte mehrere Jahre lang mit Jugoslawien über den Abschluss eines Regierungsabkommens über die Beschäftigung jugoslawischer Bürger. Die meisten Arbeiter fanden jedoch schließlich eine Beschäftigung auf dem tschechoslowakischen Arbeitsmarkt als Angestellte jugoslawischer Bau- und Montageunternehmen, die in der Tschechoslowakei tätig waren. Der Artikel verdeutlicht somit, dass die Tschechoslowakei, wie die Länder Nordwesteuropas, ab den 1960er Jahren von ausländischen Arbeitskräften abhängig wurde. Als sozialistischer Staat musste sie jedoch verschiedene Strategien verfolgen, die mit einer sozialistischen Wirtschaft und der Art ihrer außenwirtschaftlichen Beziehungen, vor allem mit anderen sozialistischen Partnern, vereinbar waren.

The article deals with the phenomenon of Yugoslav workers in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s-1980s. Czechoslovakia, which suffered from a labour shortage similar to that of Western European countries, negotiated with Yugoslavia for several years to conclude a government agreement on the employment of Yugoslav citizens. Most of the workers, however, eventually found employment in the Czechoslovak labour market as employees of Yugoslav construction and assembly companies that were engaged to work in the Czechoslovakia. The article thus points out that Czechoslovakia, like the countries of northwestern Europe, became dependent on foreign labour from the 1960s onwards. However, as a socialist state, it had to pursue different strategies that were compatible with a socialist economy and the nature of its foreign economic relations, mostly with other socialist partners.
