L'article analyse une tendance spéculaire, introspective et auto-analytique de la littérature romande par l'intermédiaire de trois romanciers contemporains : Jean-Pierre Rochat (1953), Noëlle Revaz (1968) et Joël Dicker (1985). Fortement inspirée de l'ethnocritique, l'approche du premier consiste a se dédoubler lors des manifestations publiques (discours de remerciement après l'attribution du prix Michel-Dentan) en un écrivain cosmopolite et en un paysan bernais qui mènent un dialogue mi-sérieux mi-subversif sur la littérature. La deuxième romancière forme avec son mari un étrange duo franco-allemand qui thématise les enjeux identitaires suisses (la barrière des Rösti) lors des performances culturelles données a l'étranger. Quant a Joël Dicker, il crée un double imaginaire de sa personne pour appuyer une stratégie marketing inspirée par des bestsellers américains. Que leur dédoublement soit motivé par l'ethnocritique, le plurilinguisme suisse ou un calcul publicitaire, les trois romanciers suisses semblent confirmer une tendance spéculaire plus générale dans les littératures romanes périphériques.

This article analyzes a specular, introspective and self-analytical tendency in French-language literature through the lens of three contemporary novelists: Jean-Pierre Rochat (1953), Noëlle Revaz (1968) and Joël Dicker (1985). Strongly inspired by ethnocriticism, the first novelist's approach consists in doubling up at public events (such as the acceptance speech following the award of the Prix Michel-Dentan) as a cosmopolitan writer and a peasant from Bern, who engage in a half-serious, half-subversive dialogue about literature. The second novelist and her husband form a strange Franco-German duo who discuss Swiss identity issues (the "Rösti barrier") during cultural performances abroad. As for Joël Dicker, he creates an imaginary double of himself to support a marketing strategy inspired by American bestsellers. Whether their doubling is motivated by ethnocriticism, Swiss multilingualism or advertising calculation, all three Swiss novelists seem to confirm a more general specular trend in "peripheral" novel literature.
