Le centre, kentron, et la périphérie, periferia, l'un impliquant l'autre, coexistent et leurs rapports de domination sont incontestables. Ce qui nous intéresse dans notre article est la question de l'émancipation de la périphérie et les possibilités de la transcendance de ces rapports de dominant (centre) et de dominé (périphérie) au sein de l'espace romanesque. Plus concrètement, notre but sera d'examiner les diverses stratégies de décentrement dans la trilogie Vernon Subutex (2015-2017) écrite par Virginie Despentes. On verra comment l'écrivaine réexamine et relativise ces structures binaires afin de pouvoir dé-ré-construire leurs limites. À plusieurs niveaux du récit (i.e., la topographie, les personnages, les points de vue) se produit un espace plus organique qui permet un dépassement de la dichotomie centre/périphérie. Cela se réalise par le mouvement de la convergence (aux niveaux thématique et structurelle) qui permet de dissoudre les frontières, de relier ces deux espaces en rencontre mutuelle, et de constituer une littérature où (( tout }} rencontre et interconnecte. Voici une forme unique du narratif émancipatoire.

The centre, kentron, and the periphery, periferia, imply one another and undeniably coexist in structures of domination. The aim of this article is to interrogate the possibilities of the emancipation of the periphery (dominated) from the centre (dominant) within literary space. More specifically, the paper strives to examine various strategies of decentralization in Virginie Despentes's trilogy, Vernon Subutex (2015-2017). By the means of narrative analysis, we will demonstrate how the author extracts her work from any kind of hierarchical structure by de-reconstructing the narrative space. The latter is characterized by a sense of hybridity (be it topography, characters, or points of view) and therefore escapes any sort of codification. This collapse of several hierarchical dualisms and exclusions is achieved by the movement of convergence. This transversal manoeuvre of "coming together" links the centre and the periphery in their mutual encounter and dissolves their borders. Thus, Despentes produces a more organic poetics where everything meets and interconnects, in other words, a unique form of emancipatory narrative.
