Derick Thomson (1921-2012) is recognised as a poet, scholar, and Gaelic activist. This volume presents the first selection of his Gaelic prose, including all of his short stories that have been located up to this point and were previously uncollected, reviews, travelogues, essays on Gaelic and politics, and editorials from the magazine Gairm. Accompanied by an essay about Thomson's work and career, the volume opens up the possibility to study Thomson as a Gaelic prose writer.
