El propósito de este seminario es impulsar un espacio de discusión relacionado con diferentes perspectivas teórico-metodológicas en el estudio de las colecciones y las prácticas del coleccionismo. Desde la historia cultural de la ciencia, nos interesa mantener un marco lo suficientemente amplio que nos permita explorar, por un lado, las prácticas del coleccionismo, la cultura material de los objetos, los intercambios y las redes de colecciones, y por el otro, ahondar en la falsificación de objetos, y el uso diverso de las colecciones que sobrepasan el propio espacio del museo del siglo XIX o XX.

The objective of the seminary is to promote discussion in relation to the different theoretical-methodological perspectives on the study of collections and the practices of collecting. From the point of view of cultural history of sciece, we aspire to retain broad perspective that will permit us to explore the practices of collecting, the material culture of objects, the exchanges and the network of collecting, and on the other explore the falsifications, and the diverse use of collections that go beyond the museums of the 19th and 20th century.
