In dem Text wird die Situation auf dem Gebiet der Aktualisierung des Verzeichnisses der Stadtbücher in Böhmen, Mähren und Schlesien bis 1526 (ab 1310) und dessen Erweiterung vorgestellt. Gleichzeitig wird die Aufmersamkeit der Möglichekeiten und Richtlinien der Herausgabe von Stadtbüchern gewidmet.
