Írásunk célja, hogy bemutasson néhány, a fanzinek kutatásával, valamint azok szubkultúrákhoz fűződő viszonyával foglalkozó diskurzust. A fanzinek a viszonylag kevéssé használt történelmi források közé tartoznak. Ezen a modern intézményekkel szemben vetélytársként - vagy akár azokkal ellenállásban - létrejövő s így a hagyományos levéltárak és könyvtárak látóköréből kikerülő történeti forráson keresztül rámutatunk kutatása sajátosságaira. Azt gondoljuk, hogy a zinek olyan információkat és perspektívákat kínálhatnak, amelyek nem ragadhatók meg hagyományos institucionális források által, egy olyan világból tudósítanak, amelyre a történészek az &quot;alulnézeti történetírás&quot; kifejezést is használják. A sajátos, alternatív médiumokként is szolgáló fanzinek elsősorban alkotóik véleményéről, illetve a fősodortól elhatárolódó, hasonló érdeklődésű emberek közösségeinek, színtereinek és szubkultúráinak a történéseiről tanúskodnak, ugyanakkor a kor társadalmi, politikai és kulturális valóságáról is sokat elárulnak.

The aim of this article is to present some of the discourse surrounding fanzine research and their relationship to subcultures. Fanzines are among the relatively underused historical sources. We highlight the specific characteristics of research through this historical source, which emerged as a rival to modern institutions-or even in opposition to them-and thus fell outside the scope of traditional archives and libraries. We believe that zines can offer information and perspectives that cannot be captured by traditional institutional sources, reporting from a world that historians refer to as &quot;bottom-up historiography.&quot; As unique, alternative media, fanzines primarily reflect the opinions of their creators and document the events of communities, scenes, and subcultures with similar interests that are distinct from the mainstream, while also revealing much about the social, political, and cultural realities of the era.
