Der Artikel behandelt zum ersten Mal aus diachroner Sicht eine Chronik der Stadt Görkau in Nordwestböhmen vom Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts. Das deutsch geschriebene Manuskript dieser Chronik befindet sich derzeit im Staatlichen Bezirksarchiv Chomutov in Kadaň (Státní okresní archiv Chomutov se sídlem v Kadani). Der Beitrag befasst sich mit einigen Aspekten der städtischen Geschichtsschreibung in der Zeit des Humanismus wie mit der Reflexion des Autors im Text der Chronik, der Methodik seiner historiographischen Arbeit, der Sprachwahl und dem Sprachgebrauch (Deutsch, Latein) sowie mit den Aspekten der deutschen Kanzleisprache, insbesondere im Bereich der Syntax, des Stils und der Lexik. Die Studie beschreibt die vorliegende Chronik auch als ein interessantes und wichtiges Dokument der schriftlichen Praxis in Nordwestböhmen aus textologischer Perspektive.

The article presents for the first time from the diachronic point of view a chronicle of the town Jirkov in Northwest Bohemia from the end of the sixteenth century. The German written manuscript of this chronicle is currently held in the State District Archives Chomutov in Kadaň (Státní okresní archiv Chomutov se sídlem v Kadani), and deals with some aspects of the urban historiography writing in humanism like the author's reflexion in the text of the chronicle, methodology of his historiographic work, language choice and use (German, Latin) and the aspects of German chancery language, especially in the syntax, style and lexis. The study also describes the chronicle as an interesting and important document of written practice in Northwest Bohemia from the textological point of view.
