Studie přináší statistickou analýzu revize retribuce v roce 1948 a první měsíce činnosti státního soudu. Hlavním zdrojem dat byly seznamy obžalovaných u hlavních přelíčení všech 24 mimořádných lidových soudů a spisy Státního soudu. Studie přinesla první výsledky o počtu případů řešených v revizi, demografické a národností rozložení obžalovaných, stejně tak i porovnání věku stíhaných osob v revizi retribuce se Státním soudem.

This study describes a statistical work-up of data obtained during the revision of retribution judiciary in 1948 and during a first few months of activity of the State Court. Unlike outcomes of the first phase of the retribution, summarised results of the revision have never been oficially published. Therefore, lists of defendants standing trial before each of 24 Extraordinary People&apos;s Courts and files of the State Court served as a main source of data. Results show that 2 484 cases were involved in the revision and a major part of them ended with an acquittal. Among defendants, there were more men than women. Also, there were significantly more individuals of Czech than German nationality, mainly due to an expulsion. An interesting demographic difference between Extraordinary People&apos;s Courts during the revision and the State Court is in the age of defendants. More than a half of people judged by Extraordinary People&apos;s Courts were older than 41 years, whereas the State Court focused mainly on a younger generation. During 1948, the State Court solved more than 800 cases with 140 acquitted and 480 convicted people.
