ON THE ISSUE OF ENSURING THE SOCIAL RIGHTS OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS UNDER MARTIAL LAW IN UKRAINE

This article examines the socio-economic challenges faced by internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine during the ongoing full-scale war. With nearly five million people displaced, access to housing, healthcare, employment, and social protection remains severely limited. The study highlights structural obstacles, including insufficient funding, bureaucratic complexity, lack of institutional capacity, and cases of discrimination against IDPs. Recent legal and policy developments, such as the introduction of housing rental subsidies, are analyzed alongside the growing role of administrative courts in protecting IDPs&apos; rights under martial law. International organizations (UNHCR, UNDP, IOM, UNICEF, among others) and local communities play a key role in supporting IDPs, yet systemic reforms-particularly in combating corruption and ensuring the rule of law-are essential for effective protection. The article emphasizes the urgent need for comprehensive integration programs and stronger legal mechanisms to safeguard the socio-economic rights of IDPs in line with Ukraine&apos;s European integration aspirations.
