Czech Republic: The Country Report
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This report is focused on the role of civil society organisations (CSOs) in the labour market integration (LMI) of migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers (MRAs) in the Czech Republic. The non-governmental sector plays a strong role in labour market integration and its importance has increased in recent decades hand in hand with the low activity of the state in this area. Drawing upon semi-structured interviews with MRAs and complemented with desk research of available sources on the topic of non-governmental organisations, the report is structured as follows. First, the existing academic reflection on the role of CSOs in LMI is briefly summarised. Second, an overview and categorisation of CSOs active in the Czech Republic within the LMI area is provided and supported with an inventory of non-governmental organisations (CSOs) active in the same field. Third, the methods section provides a description of the methods used to collect the data analysed in the two major empirically-driven chapters which follow, titled 'How do CSOs react to migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees?' and 'What do migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers request and get from CSOs?'. The final conclusions summarise the main observations and discuss interactions between CSOs and MRAs.
