Název v původním jazyce
Ukraine in a Changing Europe: A New Research Centre at Charles University’s Institute of International Studies
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The review covers the establishment of a new research centre at Charles University's Institute of International Studies, dedicated to research on contemporary Ukraine in a broader European and global context. Operating at the intersection of humanities and social sciences, the new research centre pursues a twofold objective: to connect recent and ongoing developments in Ukraine with broader trends and tendencies, and to disentangle Ukrainian studies from largely Russocentric Slavic/East European studies, thus promoting a re-centring of the latter. The Centre's composition, strategic goals, conducted and planned activities are described. A special emphasis is placed on its domestic and foreign partners, as the Centre positions itself as a meeting point for various perspectives.
