Das Buch erläutert und diskutiert die wichtigsten phänomenologischen Theorien bildlicher Repräsentation. Um die zentrale Frage zu beantworten, wie unterschiedliche Perspektiven als verschiedene Weisen, Welt zu erfassen, geklärt werden können, werden alleentsprechenden phänomenologischen Konzepte, die sich mit der Struktur des Bildes im Raum befassen, aufeinander bezogen und um eine neue Theorie leiblichen Verstehens ergänzt.

The book explains and discusses the most important phenomenological theories on pictorial representation. In order to answer the central question by which procedures different perspectives as different types of grasping the world can be clarified all relevant phenomenological conceptions concerning the structure of the real picture are confronted with each other and completed by a new theory of bodily understanding.
