The paper explains Gregory of Nyssa’s Life of Moses II,217-220. Gregory connects the face of Moses returning from Mount Sinai with the face of Christ after the resurrection. By emphasizing that the shining face of Moses/Christ cannot be contained (ἀχώρητος) by the mortal eye, Gregory opens his interpretation of the third and final theophany.
