Cet article présente une mise a jour de la liste des abeilles de France métropolitaine s'appuyant sur la dernière révision des Anthophiles de Gaule (France, Luxembourg, Belgique), datée de 1995, qui dénombrait 865 espèces pour la France. 150 espèces viennent s'y ajouter, 114 d'entre elles ayant été mentionnées pour la première fois depuis lors et 36 autres ayant fait l'objet de clarifications taxonomiques. 32 espèces ont été retirées de la précédente liste et sont indiquées aux côtés de 12 espèces citées entre-temps sur le territoire français dont la présence a été réfutée ou est considérée comme douteuse et nécessitant une confirmation. Le nombre d'espèces d'abeilles confirmées en France métropolitaine s'élève ainsi a 983. Cette forte richesse spécifique est liée en partie a la grande diversité de contextes climatiques et biogéographiques qui composent le territoire de la France métropolitaine. L'ampleur des avancées contenues dans la présente étude, notamment sur les plans taxonomiques et biogéographiques, souligne a la fois la pertinence des efforts déployés pour améliorer les connaissances sur ce groupe de pollinisateurs aujourd'hui et l'importance de poursuivre ces travaux dans les années a venir. Cette mise a jour constitue donc un travail préliminaire pour soutenir ces efforts et, entre autres, élaborer prochainement la liste rouge des abeilles de France métropolitaine.

The checklist of bees from metropolitan France is presented here, with an update of the previous checklist published in 1995 which included 865 species. A total of 150 species have been added to this previous checklist, 114 thanks to new distributional records and 36 due to an update of their taxonomic status. In addition, 32 have been removed from the previous list, along with 12 species recently reported in French territory whose presence has either been refuted, deemed doubtful, or requires confirmation. This work results in a list of the 983 confirmed bee species for metropolitan France. This high species richness is related to the high variety of climatic and biogeographic contexts throughout the country. The amount of changes between the previous and the current checklists, most of them related to changes that happened in the past few years, illustrates the importance of keeping our efforts on improving the knowledge of the French bee fauna even today and in the years to come. This update represents an initial step toward supporting these efforts, including the forthcoming red list of French wild bees.
