Diploma thesis „Romani Holocaust“ deals with persecution, imprisonment and extermination of Roma living in Europe, especially in the area of today´s Czech Republic, during the World War II. The theoretical part deals with history of Roma, their arrival to Europe and their social status in the course of centuries. There is attention devoted to the Nazi regime leading to World War II and the Holocaust of Roma, whose course is also disclosed in this part of the thesis. The practical part includes elaborated preparation of teaching of topic Romani Holocaust in classes of civics, which can be used in upper primary school.
