Cette étude propose d’interroger la division nord/sud à Dublin dans une optique urbaine et linguistique afin de tenter de saisir de quelle manière les Dublinois se représentent la variation linguistique à l’œuvre dans leur ville et comment l’urbain – en tant que tissu social – influence leurs perceptions linguistiques.

This study interrogates the north/south divide in Dublin through an urban and linguistic perspective in an attempt to understand how Dubliners make sense of the linguistic variation at work in their city and how the urban setting – understood as the social fabric of the city – influences their linguistic perceptions.
