Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The technical report produced upon the request of Contracting Parties of the Ramsar Convention (Convention on Wetlands) by the Scientific and Technical Review Panel of the Convention brings together the latest scientific and technical knowledge in the field of agriculture-wetland interactions. It defines agriculture-wetland interactions and synthesises global case studies to offer decision makers and practitioners (such as wetland managers and farmes) clear guidance on harmonising food production with wetland conservation. It provides an in-depth review of the direct and indirect drivers of wetland change in agricultural settings as well as practical recommendations to enhance the efficiency of recource use and strengthen multi-stakeholder governance. It addresses the role of wetlands in catchment hydrology and ecology and provide guidance on sustainable agricultural systems and practices and how to achieve sustainable food production.
