Differences in imaging of the spherical versus aspherical design of the spectacle lenses
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This study is focused on the comparison of vision quality and effect of optical aberrations when the patient looks out of the optical centre of spherical and aspheric lenses. The results suggest that some adaptation to aspheric spectacle lenses is necessary for improving visual performance. Both pairs of spectacle lenses allowed after 14-day adaptation the same visual acuity (1.0) for both central and viewing angles of 30 °. In the final decision, despite the perfect shape of the aspheric lenses, 71% subjects selected spherical lenses, which indicate the necessity of individual approach to each client, taking into account vision requirements, previous spectacle lenses, the purpose of his / her correction and personality type.
