Der Beitrag behandelt die Epigramme der spätantiken Gedichtsammlung Anthologia Latina, welche höchstwahrscheinlich um das Jahr 534 n. Ch. im nordafrikanischen Karthago zusammengeschrieben wurde. Die Aufmerksamkeit wird auf die 108 anonym überlieferten Epigramme epideiktischen Charakters gerichtet. Es wird besonders auf die Frage der Autorenschaft eingegangen, d.h. ob diese Gedichte das Werk eines einzelnen Verfassers sind, oder ob sie von mehreren Autoren geschrieben wurden. Die nähere Betrachtung der motivischen sowie sprachlichen Zusammenhänge zwischen der einzelnen Epigrammen zeigt eine logische und eng verbundene Struktur der Gedichte in der Sammlung, welche die Hypothese eines geschlossenen Werkes eines einzelnen Autors stützt.

The article deals with epigrams included in the Anthologia Latina, a late ancient collection of poetry that was most probably composed in 534 AD in the North African city of Carthage. The author focuses especially on one hundred and eight anonymous epideictic epigrams. Particular attention is paid to the question of their authorship, i.e. the dispute over whether these poems were written by one or more poets. A close analysis of the thematic as well as textual interrelations among the individual epigrams points to a logical and highly coherent structure of the poems, which supports the hypothesis that the discussed texts constitute an integral work of a single author.
