In the article the microsystems of numerals of all Indo-European branches are analyzed with regard to irregular changes caused by alliteration, sandhi and other circumstances not agreeing with sound rules. They are explained from the press of analogy inthe numerical paradigm, both in horizontal and vertical senses, i.e. in the order and between cardinals and ordinals respectively.
