La monografía versa sobre la historia de la acogida de los gitanismos en los diccionarios del espaňol, con especial atención a la historia de su tratamiento en las páginas de las ediciones del diccionario académico. Se presta la atención a los rasgos queconciernen a la macroestructura, pero sobre todo se dedica especial atención a la historia de la evolución presente en la microestructura.

The monography deals with the history of treatment that receive lexical units of Gypsy origin in editions of Spanish Royal Academy normative dictionary of Spanish language. Special attention is paid to the evolution of their treatment in the microstructure. The results from Spanish Royal Academy dictionary are then compared with the treatment that recive these words in the dictionary of contemporary Spanish by Manuel Seco et al.
