O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apontar caminhos para possíveis análises dos diferentes comportamentos de expressoes adverbiais de tempo quando estas se encontram em sintagmas preposicionados onde o núcleo introduz o nome dos dias da semana. A referencia temporal destas expressoes adverbiais é muitas vezes percebida pelos falantes nao nativos apenas com base no subsistema verbal portugues, prendendo-se, muitas vezes, com os valores aspetuais de duracao ou de pontualidade.

The present study focuses on the usage of definite and indefinite articles concerning names of the days. The present study traces also the usage of liturgical names of the days of the week in Portuguese and at the same time, studies the frequency of definite and indefinite articles used when these names are preceded by selected prepositions.
