This work presents the results of data collection conducted in the first phase of a long-term longitudinal research. The main objective of this research is to describe the dynamics and context of time perspective, social support, school results and awareness of future employment possibilities among secondary school students in the Czech Republic. The total amount of 198 students (121 girls) aged between 15 and 16, who were in the first year of a four-year grammar school, participated in the first phaseof data collection. Data were collected in three cities (Brno, Trebic, Havlickuv Brod), which were selected on the basis of the consent received from the headmasters of local schools and physical accessibility. The Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (ZTPI) was used to measure time perspective while social support was measured by the Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS-CZ).
