The author of the present study investigates the specific features of Slavonic Romanticism and the centres of its research, compares various conceptions in which he accentuates romantic dispersion, the Gothic model, the mixed character of Slavonic Romanticism, and the pre-post effect of its development, i. e. the imitation of West_European models and ? at the same time ? their innovative character in Slavonic environment.
