There are differencies in the reception of Fenno-Ugric literatures based on contextualization of a particular cultural background. Those literatures, which could get rid of the post-Soviet context, find in the Czech Republic more interest than the others. However, other contexts like exotic Siberia or the North could help as well in promoting these literatures. Nevertheless, the Fenno-Ugric oikumene has been scarcely used as a context in the Czech reception.
