The surroundings of Pálava-hills belong to one of the well-explored regions in Moravia ? thanks to excavations connected with the construction of Nové Mlýny-dam on the river Thaya. Until recently, no La Tene settlement was known from the top of these hills. During the last 10 years, some new finds from the La Tene Period were obtained from the sites Pavlov-Děvín, Perná-Kotel and Klentnice-Soutěska. Although it is a small collection of artefacts with a broad chronological range (LTA-D), the finds changethe perspective on the use of this landmark during the La Tene Period.
