The circulation of flint raw materials in the northern France and Belgium during the Early Neolithic
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Over the last twenty years there has been a considerableincrease in data available on the Danubian lithic industriesof Northern France and Belgium, in particular this is thanksto rescue archaeology. More than 200 sites can now beassigned to the Early Neolithic. The established temporal andchronological sequence reveals the succession of the LinearPottery Culture and the Blicquy/Villeneuve-Saint-GermainCulture (BQ/VSG). The present contribution provides a synthesis on the circulation of flint raw materials during the Early Neolithic in northern France and Belgium. This paperattempts to carry out a diachronic analysis of this phenomenonin order to identify similarities or dissimilarities betweenthese two Early Neolithic cultures. We hope, by doing this, toarrive at an understanding of the procurement territory relatedto the materials and of the social and economic organisationof the Linear Pottery groups.
