Edice Brill’s Series in Church History and Religious Culture, jejíž redaktorské jádro tvoří především akademici z nizozemských a britských univerzit, svými publikacemi dlouhodobě přispívá k novému pojetí dějin reformace. Byť se edice nezaměřuje primárně na reformační období, zaujímají příspěvky na toto téma značnou část její bibliografie, což jenom potvrzuje atraktivitu a výzkumný potenciál dané problematiky. Jedním ze svazků vydaných v posledních letech je kniha Sisters: Myth and Reality of Anabaptist, Mennonite and Doopsgezind Women ca. 1525-1900, soubor statí nizozemských, belgických, německých a severoamerických historiků, jež vzešly z konference na téma Myth and Reality of Anabaptist/Mennonite Women in Continental Europe ca. 1525-1900 pořádané na půdě Free University of Amsterdam ve dnech 30. – 31. srpna 2007. Sjednocujícím tématem přednesených a následně publikovaných příspěvků je obraz novokřtěnských žen, jeho vznik, vývoj a proměny od počátku šestnáctého do sklonku devatenáctého století.

Brill's Series in Church History and Religious Culture edition and its scholars contribute to the new concept of the history of Reformation for a long time. Even though the edition is not primarily focused on the history of Reformation, a great part of its bibliography is made of publications on this very subject. One of them is the book called Sisters: Myth and Reality of Anabaptist, Mennonite and Doopsgezind Women ca. 1525-1900, which is actually a collection of studies written by Dutch, Belgian, German and North-American historians and subsequently presented in the Myth and Reality of Anabaptist/Mennonite Women in Continental Europe conference held at Free University of Amsterdam from 30th to 31st August in 2007. The key topic is the image of the Anabaptist woman, its origin, development and transformation from the beginning of the 16th century to the end of the 19th century.
