Um seine deutschtümelnden Leser zu unterhalten, verwendete Der Treue Eckart, das in Brünn in Jahren 1884 – 1887 erscheinende Periodikum, verschiedene Textsorten. Nicht nur die ernsthaften, wie Leitartikel, Bericht oder politisches Kommentar, sondern auch eine mit milder Satire verfasste Korrespondenz mit einem Autor von Leserbriefen, sind auf den Seiten des Periodikums zu finden. Untersucht werden die Tschechen-Stereotypen in dem national geprägten Blatt, insbesondere am Beispiel der Satire Wippchenmeier aus Kumrowitz.

The serial Der Treue Eckart, issued from 1884 to 1887 in Brno was a partial newspaper based on the opinion of the jingoistic Germans - later of the German-National Party that split off from the German-Liberal party (1891). There are several signs of possible growing of aggressiveness – even radicalization – on the pages of this newspaper targeted on its readers and contingent voters of German-National Party. Not all these signs are to be found within particular news, rubrics but also in the stories full of sarcasm, humour and political-satirical stories. One of the satirical stories was analyzed in following article.
