Der Autor konzentriert sich auf die Strategien, die beide Seiten des Streits - der Deutsche Orden und die polnisch-litauische Union - bei der Entwicklung der politischen Propaganda verfolgten. Er versucht, die Gründe für das Scheitern, wenn man es so nennen kann, auf der Seite des Ordens zu finden, der seine Position nicht so erfolgreich verteidigen konnte wie die gegnerische Seite. Es ist nicht nur eine Frage der verwendeten Argumente und der literarischen oder wissenschaftlichen Instrumente, die zur Verfügung standen, sondern auch des effektiven Einflusses der propagierten Ideen.

The author focuses on the strategies adopted by both sides of the dispute - the Order of the Teutonic Knights and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth - in developing political propaganda. He tries to find the reasons for the failure, if it can be called that, on the side of the Order, which could not defend its position as successfully as the opposing side. It is not only a question of the arguments used and the literary or scholarly instruments that were available, but also of the effective influence of the ideas propagated.
