Die Tschechoslowakei war ein von den Staaten, die nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg Österreich-Ungarn ersetzen haben. Der Artikel vergleicht Rechtsschutz eines österreichischen Kaiser gegen Beleidigungen mit dem Rechtsschutz der Ehre des tschechoslowakischen Präsidenten. Der Author will Unterschiede als auch möglichen Einfluss des österreichischen Strafrechtes auf tschechoslowakischen Strafrecht erforschen. Der Artikel beschäftigt sich auch mit erfolgslosen Versuchen das österreichischen Strafrecht zu ändern in 1874 und 1909. In beide Entwürfe wurde eine wesentliche Reform des Majestätsbeleidigung empfohlen.

Czechoslovakia was one of the states which replaced Austria‐Hungary after World War One. The article compares the legal protection of an Austrian emperor against insults with the protection of a Czechoslovak president’s honour. The aim is to investigate the differences as well as a possible influence of the Austrian on the Czechoslovak law. Besides, the article deals with the unsuccessful attempts to change the Austrian penal code in 1874 and 1909. In both drafts of a revised penal code, a fundamental reform of the paragraphs which protected the honour of an emperor was suggested.
