The colloquium was a result of a scholarly cooperation between Department of Classics (Masaryk University) and Institut für Alte Geschichte und Altorientalistik (Universität Innsbruck). During the event, series of lectures on the history of ancient Greece representing original scholarly research results took place; the discussion and analysis of the topics followed. Four foreign guest speakers attended the colloquium who presented the papers connected to the aim of the project. The targeted audience were the students of the seminar History of Ancient Greece II.
