Das Thema des Vortrags im Institut für Geschichte an der Universität Klagenfurt stellte die Armenfürsorge in der Habsburgermonarchie im langen 19. Jahrhundert vor. Die Vortragende fasste der gesetzliche Rahmen für die Bildung der systhematisierten Armenpflege seit dem Josephinismus bis zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts zusammen, wies auf die unterschiedliche Lage vor und nach der Aufhebung des Patrimonialsystems hin. Anhand der Forschung zeigte sich die spezifische Form der Armenfürsorge in der Gestalt der Armeninsitute.

The topic of the lecture at the Institute of History at the University of Klagenfurt was poverty in the Habsburg Monarchy in the long 19th century. The lecturer summarised the legal framework for the formation of systematic poor relief from Josephinism to the end of the 19th century, and pointed out the different situation before and after the abolition of the patrimonial system. Research revealed the specific form of poor relief in the form of the poor relief institutes.
