Diese Kapitel konzentriert sich auf die Praxis der ausländischen Arbeitskräfte in der Tschechoslowakei nämlich während der ersten Wirtschaftspläne, d. h. des Zweijahresplans und des ersten Fünfjahresplans zwischen 1947 und 1950. Die Zahl der ausländischen Arbeitskräfte überstieg damals nicht zwanzigtausend Personen, und ihre Aufenthalte im Land waren, von einzelnen Ausnahmen abgesehen, kurz. Die Arbeitskräfte, die in dieser Zeit in der tschechoslowakischen Landwirtschaft und Industrie Arbeit fanden, kamen aus verschiedenen Ländern, darunter aus den Nachbarländern Polen, Bulgarien und Rumänien, aber auch aus Italien. Die grundlegende Frage, die diese Kapitel beantworten will, ist, welche Rolle die Gastarbeit in der kommunistischen Wirtschaftspolitik der Tschechoslowakei spielte. Schließlich wird auch versucht, die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Strategien dieser Arbeiter auf dem tschechoslowakischen Arbeitsmarkt zu analysieren.

This chapter focuses on the practice of foreign workers in Czechoslovakia during the first economic plans, i.e. the Two-Year Plan and the first Five-Year Plan between 1947 and 1950. The number of foreign workers at that time did not exceed twenty thousand people and their stays in the country were, with a few exceptions, short. The workers who found employment in Czechoslovak agriculture and industry during this period came from various countries, including the neighboring countries of Poland, Bulgaria and Romania, but also from Italy. The fundamental question that this chapter seeks to answer is what role guest labor played in Czechoslovakia's communist economic policy. Finally, an attempt is also made to analyze the possibilities and limitations of these workers' strategies on the Czechoslovak labor market.
