The Laetae Segetes IX conference, held 19–21 November 2025 at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno, was a biennial gathering for PhD candidates and early-career scholars. Hosted by the Department of Classical Studies, the international event offered a platform for emerging researchers in Classical Philology, Medieval Latin, Byzantine, and Modern Greek Studies to present their papers and engage in thematic roundtable discussions guided by keynote lectures. The conference featured four main thematic sessions: 1) Digital Methods and Tools in Latin and Greek Philology, 2) Language Change and Language Contact in the Greek and Roman World from Antiquity to Modern Times, 3) Ancient and Medieval Culture and History in the Mirror of its Sources, and 4) Literary Dialogues Across Time and Space: Continuities and Transformations in Greek and Latin Literature.
