Professors on the Move from Bratislava to Brno and back (1921 ? 1939)
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The author gives attention to the academic activities of the professors who in the inter-war period migrated between the Law Faculty in Bratislava and that in Brno. Some Czech professors who spent the beginning of their academic career at Bratislava LawFaculty later moved to Brno. Jan Vážný worked his way up among the leading Czech romanists directing his attention to the Italian school of romanists. Despite being a proffessor of Civil Law in Bratislava, in Brno František Rouček focused on Business Lawas well as Law of Exchange and he even attempted to find his role in Legal History. Karel Kizlink, teacher of Commercial Law in Brno, took the opposite direction and moved to Bratislava where he found his recourse until the end of his proffesional career. Migration with the taste of tragedy ? that was the case of Czech professors who were forced to leave Slovakia after the Munich Treaty had been signed.
