The presented scientific article focuses on the new legal framework for the protection of personal data, which brings fundamental changes also in the field of implementation of labour relations. The question is most up to date with regard to the obligation to implement changes to the practice of businesses and organizations. The creative team strives, not only on the basis of their own professional experience in application practice but also on the results of qualitative research, to show that employers - small and medium-sized enterprises have not managed to move on to new legislation. They continue to pursue employment relationships in accordance with the original privacy policy which may result in the imposition of a sanction by the control authorities and at the same time violating the right of employees to protect their privacy and personal data in the course of their work for the employer.
