Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The subject of cyberbullying is often mentioned in the context of Internet expansion; cyberbullying adversely affects the safety of individuals in the online environment. In this presentation, we demonstrate the first report on cyberbullying in the CzechRepublic based on a representative sample of the population. The survey, conducted within the World Internet Project in the Czech Republic, was carried out in September 2008 using face-to-face interviews. The survey addressed 2,215 respondents of 12 years of age or more, of which 1,470 were Internet users. The research sample was made representative for the Czech Republic as far as the variables of sex, education, age, region, and the size of the respondent's domicile are concerned. The results indicate that 2.4% of the Czech population was cyberbullied at least several times a month and in total 14.1% reported to have experienced cyberbullying on the Internet. 9.
