Microwave chemistry already represents one of the important dimensions of modern chemistry today. Microwave heating increases efficiency of many chemical processes at the same time as it can reduce formation of by-products caused by overheating. It has been known for several decades that an electrodeless discharge lamp generates ultraviolet radiation when placed into the microwave field. We recently reported an original paper describing a photochemical reactor consisting of an electrodeless lamp irradiating the reaction mixture in a microwave oven. This simple arrangement allows a simultaneous interaction of UV and MW irradiation with the studied photochemical system and brings a unique possibility to study photochemical reactions under extreme thermalconditions (some photochemical reactions are sensitive to temperature which may have a significant effect on the stereo- or regioselectivity of the reaction). Moreover, the microwave field affects the dynamic behaviour of the photochemic
