We investigated the spatial distribution of aquatic macroinvertebrates within a large reed bed at the Nesyt fishpond (South Moravia, Czech Republic). Dense reed beds provide very specific environmental conditions, which change along the horizontal gradient and affect the taxonomic and functional structure of macroinvertebrate communities.
