Popis výsledku v původním jazyce

During a systematic survey of monogeneans (Dactylogyridae) of freshwater fishes from the Turkana Lake (Kenya), 34 monogenean species were recorded on/in 17 species of host fishes. Twenty-two of them probably represent species new for science. Twelve species represent previously described taxa and all of them are reported from Kenya for the first time. The monogenean species found were represented by the following 12 genera: Afrocleidodiscus (2 species), Annulotrema (5 species), Bagrobdella (1 species),Bouixella (1 species), Cichlidogyrus (3 species), Dactylogyrus (9 species), Dogielius (2 species), Enterogyrus (4 species), Heterotesia (1 species), Nanotrema (1 species), Protoancylodiscoides (1 species) and Quadriacanthus (4 species). Most species werecollected from the gills of Labeo horie (7 species of Dactylogyrus and 2 species of Dogielius).
