Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy in analysis of liquids and solids
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectrometry (LIBS) is a type of atomic emission spectrometry which uses a focused highly energetic laser pulse as the excitation source [1]. LIBS is based on the detection of photons emitted by the atomized sample constituents inthe laser-induced plasma created during laser ablation. The basic principle consists in the interaction of a focused laser beam with a sample surface which results in laser-induced micro plasma (LIP) creation. In principle, any physical state (solid [2,3], liquid [4-6] or gas [7, 8]) can be analyzed by LIBS with low detection limits for most elements [9]. The LIP emits radiation which includes analytical information about analyzed sample. This information can be used for qualitative and quantitative purposes. LIBS enables analysis of solid samples with minimal or no sample preparation. This work was divided into several parts.
