Mind Maps: How do we see the town?
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This contribution concerns mental mapping in a two town near an Austrian border – Znojmo and Nové Hrady. Both towns are very popular with tourist but still must work for their inhabitants. We asked both groups, how do they see their town? Where is situated a centre of town and where do or did they spend most of the time. After evaluation, we try to find some analogies as well as differences between both towns. A very important part of the research was to join children. They show us their point of view and other places that are important for them also. We interpreted data by theory by Kevin Lynch and his The Image of the City. This contribution is created on the base of cross-border project KULREG, that took place in the year 2018 in cooperation with Danube University Krems. The project was interested in the potential of cultural heritage for cross-border development.
